It was just an idea
I thought it would be kinda neat to have one place we could all go to see what was happening with everybody. We can post pictures, tell the latest news, brag, joke around, whatever. And we just have to post once, for everyone to know about it.
Please join in, and let me know what you think. If you know of anyone in the family that would also like to be a part of this, please send me their email so I can add them to the members list.

Again, what a great idea! And I just noticed tonight that there is a family cleandar with everyone's birthdays, anniversaries, etc. That is just the cherry on top!

Thanks for adding Chris's-day & our anniversary to the family calendar. It might be helpful to add the person's last name initial for only those w/the same first name (even though you list the birth year). For example, people could easily confuse my husband Chris w/our cousin Chris. Another example is I have a sister Melissa & Rhonda has a daughter Melissa.
Also, I noticed my brother, Herb's, b-day is shown as being June 16th; it is actually July 16th.

Lori, I've changed Herbie's birthday. Thanks. I've probably got a few others wrong, so just keep correcting me as you find them. I did think about using the last initial, but it'll have to be done as people point them out to me. And it's for a stupid reason -- of course I know your sister is Melissa N., but what's Rhonda's Melissa's last name? There are so many of us, that I don't know everyone's last name. The family tree that I just started will be a help with that, except that I'm going to need help getting the information to put into it. Oh, and for the calendar, I was able to add initials to the Chris/Chris dates.
Hey Sandi, Sorry I missed you coming up to jersey for the 2nd time. Small world that JC used to be your old stomping ground. Did you go to ETSU? and for what? So back in the day when you were here what did you all do for fun? That was before Television right? :)
I liked the password to get into the family tree. I was psyched I got it on the first try.
Sandi this is getting better and better. Danielle set me up so not sure where this calandar is.
Mom - you get the calendar & family tree as follows -
1. From the home page 'Dashboard', click on 'Family Gathering'
2. click on tab 'View blog'
3. right column has list of ''Contributors'' (which are the family members signed up for this site) & "'Links''
4. under 'links', you will see a link for the calendar & for the family tree

I've entered all of your birthdates now, on both the calendar and the family tree. Happy belated birthday! (Now that I have the calendar up and going, hopefully I won't miss it next year.) Hope you had a happy celebration.
