Winters here, and I will be over there

Its been a long mild winter here in Jersey, and I have been working pretty steadily. The first week in December we had four days of snow and I only missed three days of work. Since then, the temperaure has been between 40 and 50 degress and a few days at 60. Great weather for a Roofer. So its been a long stretch since I first said I will have time off of work to visit Florida. The time is here, this past Monday at work we decided as a crew that we needed time off and away from each other. Two weeks was the final decision, and I started to make plans. I have contacted a few family members and put together our first family Road trip. I am so excited. Danielle, Cassie, and myself will be leaving New Jersey Saturday Febuary 19th. We will start on 195 west into Trenton and change over to 295 south. From there we will connect with 276 west that will take us into PA. While in Pennsyvania, 276 turns into 76 west heading into Harrisburg. From there, we'll connect with 81 south. 81 south will take us through Maryland, Virginia, and into Tennessee. We decided to do the bulk of the driving at night so Cassie will sleep. At 18 months, she has enough energy to power a small city and this trip might be hard for her. So during the following day, we planned a few stops. First is at my brothers Roberts apartment. He said I could use his couch for a power nap while he is entertaing Cassie and Danielle. After lunch, I will hit the road on 81 south heading into Knoxville. 81 south will turn into 40 west. Shortly after I will connect with 75 south. I will take that road all the way into Georgia, passing Atlanta and Macon. In Macon, I will follow directions to my cousin Doreens house were I will spend the night.
Here I will experience some of that famous southern hospatality and recharge my batteries, meanwhile trying to drain Cassie's. Leaving the following day at around 11 a.m., we will reconnect with 75 south heading into Tifton. Here I will try to find 319 south and take that road into Tallahassee, Florida and meet up with Ralph, Lori and the boys at around 6 p.m. They said we could spend the night. Isn't family great. I will spend all day tuesday there and leave in the late evening. Once again, a long drive at night so Cassie can sleep. I will ask Ralph the best way to West Palm Beach, Florida were I will meet up with Cousin Sandi and here family. There will be my final stop for three days and my trip will be in the air. I am hopeing to see as much family as possible on this trip while having some alone time with Danielle. In the mean time we are all doing great in Jersey, counting the days to the Family Reunion. And a quick little side note, I have lost 26 pounds since Thanksgiving, and its been a whole year since I Quit smoking. See you all soon (some sooner) and our love to all.

Wish we could go with you Charles, I can,nt believe how deep the snow is by us. Poor lady, she goes out and hops and disappears. The crew of men that work in here did the sidewalks, and the roads got plowed. Your Dad tipped one of the guys to clean off his truck. I took the long wide scrapper I have out and tipped him to do my car. They don,t speak English so he must of thought I wanted the top of the truck cleaned off better, cause when I looked out the truck was done really good.My car was still buried. They had all left to keep shoveling the sidewalks, so I went out and cleaned off my car.I think he realized what I wanted him to do, cause he came back and quickly shoveled behind my car. He had to leave to keep up with the rest of the crew. They have a lot of side walks and driveways to touch up after the bobcats get done.I don,t think we are surpose to talk or bother them when they are working, now I know why!

Hey, Charlie!

I'm glad that you guys are coming down. We will definitely have to get together when you get to West Palm. Cassie looks adorable.

Charlie, we can't wait until you get down here. I think I'm more excited than you are! I've already taken some time off work, and the kids and I are making plans for things to do. I also spoke with my mom, and she said she was going to try to take a day off to spend with you, too.

Cathy, email or call me and we'll figure out how to all get together. We need to contact Cheyene and Chris, too.
