April

Hi, it was great reading about all of you. You can't believe what good memories it brings back. I wish I had a picture to post but I don't know how to do that anyway. Sandi did post a picture of me and Cari on hers so at least you can see me I have a suggestion, We need a family tree on this Blog, there are so many names and everyone has been apart for so long we have forgotten who is who. And there are so many new ones
Where do I sign up for volunteering on planning the Reunion? We need to get started, time goes so fast. It will be here in no time. And everyone is so spread out. We have family all over the place.
Aunt Kay, I was thrilled to see your name! Are any of your family still in Florida? Ralph & Lori I've missed you and the twins are all grown up! When did that happen? Lori I was so disappointed to miss your wedding, Charlie your daughter is precious, Sandi was so impressed with you. I keep thinking of your imagination when you where little.

Well I will continue the theme of all the posts so far and thank Sandi for such a cool idea, and I am still laughing just hearing my mom (Aunt Gail for most of ya) talking about a Blog.
I am back in TN for another year in school and probably my final year. I transferred to East Tennessee State University after taking a little 2 year break from school. Before my break I graduated with an associates degree in Surveying and Mapping from Paul Smiths College in upstate NY.
I recently spent the summer in Virginia Beach surveying which is where the first picture in my post comes from. I saw the sign and just had to get my picture taken with it.
The other two pictures are from last week when I took a week off to go Kayaking. I spent 2 days on the Nolichucky River in NE TN, and then spent 3 days on the Ocoee River down in SE TN. It was alot of fun and met some new paddling buddies for future excursions.
Other then that not a whole lot is going on with me. Just keeping busy between School, paddling, and working out. and for you immediate family members...yes I am still sporting the single life.

I will post more later on when something interesting happens.

Family group picture from my wedding

Hope to see even more us all together next year!!!

Hey everyone from the Alspach Family :)

Hi everyone,

Wow, I have to agree what a great idea... Leave it to Sandi to come up with such a creative idea. We are so looking forward to the Family Reunion. We had a wonderful time at Lori's Wedding, and just know that the reunion is going to be just as fun. So, onto what's going on in our neck of the woods. We are very thankful that Hurricane Katrina decided to go to the west of us, although it was just a little too close for comfort. A lot has been going on in our lives the past few months... Let me see were shall I start. I guess, I will start with Ralph. Ralph has decided to venture out and start his own shell contracting business, so that is keeping him extremely busy at the moment well, I guess I should say actually busy all of the time. I am very proud of him and have no doubt in my mind that he is going to succeed. Next Monday, September 5th, Ralph and I will be celebrating our 7th Wedding Anniversary, and 12 years that we have been together. It is amazing how time flies. It seems just like yesterday that Cari , Becky, & P.J. were walking down the isle at our wedding. Now onto our boys, I will start with the twins, Tyler and Trevor. They are 5 years old now and just started Kindergarten, after a rough first few days, I can gladly say that they love it now. They are playing football, and are really into it, as are Ralph and I, we enjoy watching them play just about as much as they enjoy playing. Last but not least is our baby Ethan, he is just such a joy, a wonderful, happy baby. He just turned 8 months old on the 27th and is crawling around and walking around on furniture. He just wants to keep up with those brother's of his so bad. I am really glad that we have this wonderful way to keep in touch.
Much love to everyone,
Ralph, Laurie, Tyler, Trevor, & Ethan

Hello from Chris & Lori

Sandi, what a great idea setting up this family blog site! I hope a lot of the family uses this site to keep in touch. I am so sorry I missed you when you visited NJ last weekend. I had a weekend full of commitments which I was unable to get out of (i.e a wedding, christening, & 30th b-day party all in one weekend!). It is great how the family is all trying to plan a family reunion for next year. I really hope it happens. It has been way TOO long since we have all been together! It was great getting to see a lot of the family at my wedding on May 7, 2005. But it was so hard for me to really spend any time with anyone! I know you were not able to attend since Cari was graduating. You must be so proud of her! I cannot believe how big Cari, PJ, & Becky have gotten! I still think of them as little babies! Guess, it is because I haven't really seen them since then! Well, as I mentioned above, I was just married in May to Chris. We went to Hawaii for 2 weeks for our honeymoon (see attached pic). Chris is a police officer in Saddle Brook, NJ (northern NJ, Bergen County). Chris & I just bought a house there, & we will be moving in at the end of September. I will send out everyone my new address once we move. I am working as a Construction Project Manager for a commercial real estate company (which owns & operates 8 office buildings in NJ & NY) based in Rutherford, NJ (northern NJ, Bergen County). Everyone keeps asking when we will be starting our own little family (especially my mom!). We will probably start planning sometime next year. Well, I better go for now. I will scan the big family picture taken at my wedding & add it to this site tomorrow. Sandi, again,,,GREAT IDEA!!! Love Lori & Chris

Greetings From Charles and family

Hello all, this is such a good way to keep each other updated on the events in our lives, cause it isn't always easy to keep in touch these days! Anyway, Cassie is doing great! She's standing on her own, walking a little on her own, crawling, and sleeping through the night! She is growing soooo fast! But we are having such fun with it all, it really is a gift being parents. Charles recently had some minor surgery to have a sebaceous cyst removed, but is recovering nicely, and Danielle recently went back to work waitressing a couple of nights a week. Here are some recent pics of us, and we hope to see you all soon!

Hi! from Herb and Gail

This is a great idea, wish we had it for all the years we've been apart! Our Grandaughter just turned a year old, Lori got married, Bob is in College and Melissa just left for Colorado State College. Charles and Danielle are having fun being new parents, its gonna get better cause Cassie is taking steps by herself now. Herb and Cindy are getting ready for the girls to start school again. I'm doing this left handed cause I had my right hand operated on Weds. for carpal tunnel. Bye for now Herb and Gail

Sandi's kids

Can you believe these are my babies? The first picture is "Gramma April" with Cari at Cari's high school graduation on May 24, 2005. Cari graduated with an International Baccalaureate diploma. I'm so proud of her!

The second picture was taken at PJ's 8th grade graduation the following day, and is of all three of my children: Cari (17 years old), PJ (14) and Becky (11). Posted by Picasa

It was just an idea

I thought it would be kinda neat to have one place we could all go to see what was happening with everybody. We can post pictures, tell the latest news, brag, joke around, whatever. And we just have to post once, for everyone to know about it.

Please join in, and let me know what you think. If you know of anyone in the family that would also like to be a part of this, please send me their email so I can add them to the members list.

Hope to hear from you all!
